The Yellowknife Tennis Club is excited to introduce Ryan Chow, as the Head Tennis Professional for the 2011 season.

Ryan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the club from his lifelong participation in tennis. He was introduced to tennis at  a young age and played with his family. As a junior player he quickly rose to the top of his age group in Canada.. He then went on to play college tennis in the U.S. helping his team reach the final 16 at Nationals and was voted All-Conference in both singles and doubles. Ryan has travelled on the Futures Circuit which is the first tier of professional tennis and has played and hit with some of the best players in the world.

Ryan is a qualified coach, certified by Tennis Canada as a Level II (Club Pro 1). In the past year, he attended two progressive tennis seminars which is the leading method for teaching young children and has implemented them in school's as a physical education program. Originally from Toronto, he has taught at both community and private clubs around the world from as far away as New Zealand. Recently he helped develop programs at the Fitness Institute and worked with high performance players at the Toronto Tennis Academy.

Ryan looks forward to meeting the current members and any other tennis enthusiasts in the communtiy . He will be running club programs and events for the members so please direct any questions or ideas to him. Keep your eyes and ears open for future dates! Also, private lessons will be available throughout the season provided by the Head Professional. Here's to a successful season as well as hopefully inspiring a new generation of tennis players in Yellowknife and the surrounding communities.
